Discover the perfect blend of definition and volume with our Hybrid Lash Set at Mish Esthetics. This popular choice combines the best of both worlds, marrying the natural enhancement of classic extensions with the dramatic fullness of volume lashes. The result is a striking, textured look that adds depth and intrigue to your natural lashes.
-
Hybrid Lash Extensions are a combination of both Classic and Volume Techniques, a combination of two different lash application techniques rolled into one set of lashes. We'll say these are "the middle of the road" for those who can't decide on Classic or Volume Lash Extensions. Perfect for a more customize look. They blend the natural look of classic lashes with the volume and fullness of volume lashes. This technique involves applying a mix of individual lash extensions and handcrafted fans made up of multiple lashes, resulting in a fuller, textured look that remains elegant and seamless.
-
A hybrid set is best for those with more slender lashes looking for a full, textured look for everyday wear or a holiday. A mixture of fluffy volume fans and individual lashes, the hybrid is most popular in a messy, staggered style that flatters the eye and adds some fabulousness to your look. Hybrids are a great compromise if you’re looking for a lash option that’s fuller than a classic set, but not ready to commit to full Russian volume lashes just yet!
-
The application process for hybrid lash extensions is meticulous and can take anywhere from 90 to 150 minutes, depending on the desired fullness. During the application, you will lie back and relax with your eyes closed. A lash artist will then apply the extensions one by one to your natural lashes using a safe, semi-permanent adhesive.
-
Hybrid lash extensions offer a balance between classic and volume lash extensions. They provide a thicker, denser look than classic lashes due to the addition of volume fans but are more natural-looking compared to full volume sets because they still incorporate some single lash extensions.
-
Similar to other types of lash extensions, hybrid sets typically last through the full growth cycle of your natural eyelashes, usually around 6 to 8 weeks. However, to maintain their ideal fullness, it is recommended to schedule touch-ups or "fills" every 2 to 3 weeks.

Lash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are attached to your natural lashes using a medical-grade adhesive. They enhance the length, curliness, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes. The fibers can be made from synthetic PBT Fiber, mimicking real mink hair. We use soft, fax mink and matte lashes sources from Korea.
-
Yes, when applied by a trained and experienced professional, lash extensions are completely safe. At Mish Esthetics, we ensure that the application process is hygienic and that the adhesives and extensions used are of the highest quality and safe for use around the delicate eye area.
-
When expertly applied, eyelash extensions do not harm your natural lashes. Professional, certified lash artists ensure this by attaching a single extension to each natural lash using extensions that are appropriately weighted and sized to preserve your lash health. However, improper techniques can lead to damage. Overly heavy lashes or clusters (pre-made fans) that use excessive adhesive can stress and break your natural lashes. To protect your lashes, it's important to inquire about the techniques your lash artist uses and their certification credentials. Choosing a skilled artist is key to maintaining healthy natural lashes while enjoying the aesthetic benefits of extensions.

Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes and lashes. Avoid using waterproof mascara or an eyelash curler on the day of your appointment. It's also a good idea to avoid applying face creams or sunscreens around the eye area that could interfere with the lash adhesive.

Most eyelash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Lash extensions typically last through the full growth cycle of your natural eyelashes, generally 6 to 8 weeks. Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages. It is normal to lose 1-3 natural lashes per day. To maintain the fullness and desired look, we recommend getting touch-ups or "fills" every 2 to 3 weeks.

Absolutely! One of the great perks of eyelash extensions is that they keep you looking fabulous right out of bed, fresh out of the shower, and even after a swim in the pool! If you do take a dip in chlorinated or saltwater, just remember to rinse your extensions with fresh water afterward or give them a gentle cleanse with our Vibrant Lash Foaming Cleanser. To keep your lashes looking their best, avoid using oily soaps or detergents, steer clear of rubbing your eyes, and gently pat your lashes dry. With these simple care tips, your lashes will continue to look stunning.

Yes, you certainly can wear makeup with lash extensions, provided you choose the right products. It’s crucial to opt for oil-free makeup and avoid products high in glycol or glycerin, as these ingredients can weaken the glue, causing your lash extensions to loosen and fall prematurely. More importantly, oily products can penetrate the follicle, making your lashes repel adhesive, which may cause complications during infills.
Here’s what we recommend:
Eyeliner: Opt for liquid or pen-style eyeliners that are oil-free and not waterproof. Gel liners or crayon-type eyeliners, which often contain carnauba wax, tend to stick to the roots of the lashes and are challenging to remove. We offer a suitable eyeliner at our salon, but most non-waterproof liquid liners should work as well.
Eyeshadow: Powder eyeshadows are ideal as they are generally oil-free. You can also mix them with water to create a liner.
Primers: Try to avoid using primers on the lids if possible. If you must use one, ensure it's oil-free and carefully remove it daily.
Mascara: Generally, it's best to avoid mascara on lash extensions as it can cause clumping and contains oils that may weaken the glue bond. If you must use mascara, apply it only to the bottom lashes and ensure it’s not waterproof.
Volume Lashes: Please do not apply mascara to volume lashes. It causes the fans to close or stick together, defeating the purpose of volume lashes. We typically cannot perform infills on volume lashes that have had mascara applied, as cleaning them consumes too much time.
Lash Serums: While not makeup, lash serums are often queried. We recommend the Mish Esthetics Lash Extensions Serum, which is specifically formulated to be safe with lash extensions, containing approved ingredients that effectively support lash health.
By following these guidelines, you can enjoy beautiful makeup looks without compromising the longevity and health of your lash extensions.

It is crucial to adhere to the aftercare instructions provided by your lash technician. Given their expertise, following their guidance will help you maximize the longevity and appearance of your eyelash extensions.
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent and will naturally shed over time, typically lasting between 2 to 4 weeks. This variation depends on individual lash growth cycles, as everyone's lashes grow and shed at different rates. However, if you notice your extensions falling out unusually quickly or in clumps, consider if any of the following factors might be contributing:
Exposure to Water: Getting your lashes wet within 48 hours of application—such as through washing your face, showering, or swimming—can weaken the adhesive before it’s fully set.
Heat and Steam: Being in hot or steamy environments soon after application can also damage the glue bond. This includes hot weather, steam rooms, saunas, and baths within the first 48 hours.
Physical Interference: Habitually picking or pulling at your extensions can cause them to fall out prematurely and damage your natural lashes. To maintain your extensions, minimize touching them and only gently brush them to keep them neat and free from tangles.
Oil-Based Products: Oil is the nemesis of lash extensions. Skincare products, makeup, and makeup removers containing oils can break down the adhesive bond, causing your extensions to fall out prematurely. To ensure the durability of your extensions, avoid oil-based products entirely.
By following these guidelines and the specific advice of your lash artist, you can enjoy beautiful, long-lasting lash extensions.
-
Yes, you can do all of these activities with lash extensions, but it's advisable to avoid steam rooms, saunas, and oil-based products, as these can weaken the adhesive bond. Wait at least 48 hours after the application before getting the lashes wet to allow the glue to fully bond.
-
To maximize the lifespan of your lash extensions, avoid oil-based cleansers, waterproof mascara, and heavy creams around your eyes. Use a gentle, oil-free eye makeup remover. Avoid rubbing your eyes and try to sleep on your back to avoid crushing the extensions. Brush them gently with a spoolie brush to keep them neat.
